BOTTLE COMPARISON

Talisker 10 vs Ardbeg 10

Coastal pepper or full Islay peat? Two smoky classics compared for the next bottle.

Both are smoky ten-year-old single malts, but they are not interchangeable. Talisker keeps pepper, malt and maritime sweetness in view; Ardbeg makes peat the main event.

The practical verdict

For a first smoky bottle, Talisker is usually the safer purchase. For someone actively looking for a peat-forward experience, Ardbeg is more rewarding.
